Duane Peters and the Die Hunns at Skatopia

Well they showed up and rocked the house with 4 other bands whose name escape me.  But here is what I got for you!

Not a bad turn out for a Monday night, though not a huge turn out.  I got to Skatopia on the Thursday before the show and I'll tell you it was probably the quietest weekend I had seen there prior to a show.  Having not rained in probably 10 days, the right hand kidney was almost completely dry, we used a propane torch till the concrete was bone dry.  Anyway, the farm was bustling with activity, much like getting ready for a party.  Vehicles were moved around, painted, cut with saws and readied for the Duane Peters appearance.  

Here's Andy Wagner just prior to taking a huge slam.  If you can't tell, this is really fucking high over vert.  I asked Andy to go high and he went higher than I though he would, I felt a little bad because right after I snapped the picture I heard a huge Cah-Wump on the bottom of the fullpipe.  That night I was told he gurgled when he was sleeping.  Here's to you AlQueda.
Welcome to Skatopia, now Get Out.  Sometime late in the day the Tour bus arrived pulling up dust from the very dry gravel road leading to Skatopia.  Brewce had instructed the Tennessee Beast to make sure and charge everyone that came in, well, he tried his hardest but couldn't get the occupants of this bus to pay.	One of the cars that had been worked on was setup for duane, he's taking on the Hell ride in the field.  Our friend Turtle from Cleveland was on one of the rear facing window back window seats when Duane went around the field at mach speed going over a huge rut, Turtle was propelled 10 feet into the air and rendered unconcious temporarily.

Chaz Pineda holding it up for the guys on the tour, Lance and Duane were hurt earlier in the tour, though Duane did take several runs on the fullpipe, even dropping in for his first run.
The Hunns Killing it on stage, Brewce says one of the top 5 to ever play Skatopia, in there with Bunji Jambo, Shat, JFA, and McRad, not necessarily in that order.  In the upper left is Turtle, you can see the gouge on his scalp from Duane's Hell Ride.	Corey Parks during the Tallent portion of the Beauty contest.  This talent she displayed put her over the top to win the Beauty contest.  The roof almost caught fire, it was crazy.  Check out an older interview of her on the Juice Magazine site if you haven't already.
