Jockey Club Remembered, this is a punk rock club that was in Newport KY in the early 80's, although I'd only been there once, many punk ass mothers remember it, well kind of. Has history of bands that had played there and stories of the bathroom.

Merk spent the 3 weeks before the party building the fullpipe, only leaving Meigs County to get food across the river in West Virginia, you would do well to have him to build your wooden skate structure.

Check out Grind For Life, a non-profit that raises money for cancer victims. Mike Rogers from West Palm Beach was the original recipient Skateboarder and is now giving back by helping other cancer victims. Support this cause, it's a great one.
Finally I put a band link. My friend Tom has a band called El Destructo. I met Tom at Skatopia, as he's been going to parties there for years. He usually brings a Bronco or some other 4 wheel drive vehicle to annihilate in the field, his band has earned the name El Destructo for sure. Also check out his other site Scum Inc. not to be confused with another one of my friends skateboard companies.
How can I have taken this long to post Cholo's website Scum Skates, these skateboards are awesome. Cholo has been making great skateboards for years, you'd be doing yourself a big favor purchasing one of these boards. He has everything from popsicle shape to square tails (which he has been making for years).
Middle aged? check out www.middle-age-shred.com out of the UK, not Univ. or Kentucky but United Kingdom, you know England. Looks like the guy that runs it travel's all over, he even skated in India. Probably didn't eat any cow's since their sacred in India. Check that shit out, see what's happening in England.
There's a really good indoor park in Northern KY I'm going to be skating all winter, it's called Ollies Skatepark. Check out the particulars at www.skateollies.com . They've got a huge vert ramp, a really wide mini, a really good midsized bowl with a little bit of pools coping, plus a huge street flow area plus more. Check it out and come and skate sometime.
