| Skatopia a place to go to! Columbus, OH Louisville Maryland and the DC area |
I had been putting off building a web page for quite a while, talking crap about cataloging Brewce Martin's Skateboard Museum and making it available online for viewing. I don't know if I will accomplish that, I will put some pictures up for sure. When I was a kid I dreamed of buying a house with some property on it and pouring concrete ditches with pool coping and stuff like that. Five years ago I met Brewce martin, shit I was blown away, he had the same dream, I mean he has 88 freaking acres in hill country, well if you don't know about it, it's Skatopia in SE Ohio. This cat along with many others built a 13' deep wooden bowl in a 100 year old barn, then outside built the "King Dong" ramp, see pictures somewhere on the site. Well, my point is, this dude's been a skateboarding maniac since he got his first skateboard and he never thought of doing anything else, he doesn't charge people, he will encourage a donation or some work time, though it is not a tough time. Just make sure you fs grind the deep end before you leave. |

Progress at Skatopia, getting ready for the June party |
|
| We have 3 weeks until the June party, help us help you to have the best time of your life. Start heading out to Skatopia so you can say you built a fullpipe. The party is June 7th & 8th, though you can come as early as you want. | FullPipe Construction News: Location: "Skatopia" Size: Not as big as Louisville, different materials. The roof has a different shape as well. |
![]() |
Well, the concrete footers have been poured, the Surveyor has done the task of aligning the fullpipe with the Louisville fullpipe per Brewce's orders. Well as this shapes up, you can see that this is one nutty place. |
![]() |
So here is the poop on the pipe. 20' diameter, 17' high with a flat roof. The roof will be used as the floor for an addition to the barns 2nd floor. This place is blowing up. Help us build anyway you can. |
.![]() The 13' bowl is now completely skatelite. Faster than it was before. This is Jeff Green, 38, we shanghai'd him in Louisville, he drove 3.5 hours out of him way, each way,he helped work on the FullPipe, mopped the bowl and skated till late. Cool dude from Memphis. |
Ah the King
Dong ramp. The corners as you may suspect need a little work.
Lucky for everybody we have the wood to fix this thing up and get it ready
forthe June 7&8th party. ![]() |

Everett even came out to help build the fullpipe, look at
how happy he is, he even has a new job.

It's on it's way to being done. Check out Ed Peck working on the steel for the King Dong. This things finally gonna be done. Come help Ed, you know he needs help. Come crooked grind the edge of the pipe! Bring skating to another level. What a Hoot Nanny, getting ready for the drunken barn dance, beer raid, and in general an uncontrolled freefall of fun
"I painted my shoes gold, my ass gold and my dick gold, but it burned my dick so I washed it off my dick"...............Brewce Martin, explaining his unique costume for the best trick contest in Marseille the past weekend.
5/27/02 Got back from Louisville early this morning, wow, another great time
with no sleep, and the park is still there. Gonna be going to Skatopia
late tonight after picking up the "modern day savage" from the
Aeropuerto.
05/26/02 So I'm in Louisville, taking a break from
building a fullpipe to riding a fullpipe. Got here last night, rode for a
little while, went to a cook out and it started raining. By 1 in the
moring the park was mostly dry and very skateable, skated till 3:30 in the
morning, there were another 50 or so people at the park when we left. Yes,
this place is still off the hook. I'm sure there will be caravan's from
the Skatopia party to Louisville the whole week prior and during the
party. 3.5 hours from Skatopia to Louisville, there will be 2 fullpipe's
that you can ride 24 hours a day 7 days a week (weather permitting). When
I arrived, I found out that Stoney Tony had been ousted from the skatepark area
due to his homelessness situation.
5-22-02 Here it is, news on Chris is he got the rally truck stuck on the top of
the hill, he's got some time to get it going. Chris is a big Merle Haggard
fan, he was getting pissed when the DJ at Jimmy's wouldn't play Merle, that's
what I have found out about Merk.
5/19-02 It's on, the first camper of the party showed up 3 weeks early, a one Chris Mearkle is
the early camper...
|
|
| This guy needs your help, today! Look at Ed, all by himself doing the metal. He really care's about the King dong. |
Reports from the farm place 25 people at the farm today (5/30/02) replacing shitty wood in the corners of the King Dong. Metal on the Dong is coming along at a rather rapid rate, and the fullpipe is almost ready for the skatelite that we still need some money for.
|
|
| Ed is coming along on the metal, I don't think anyone cares more about the King Dong than Ed does. |
|
|
| The first 10 feet has 2 layers of plywood, the tarp we put on the previous night was almost blown off by the heavy downpour. Come skate, camp out, do a little work, whatever. |
6/1/02 The Woodman showed up, he's working with the wood. Chopping up the
previous years tornado damage for firewood. Plenty of firewood. This
crew from Mass showed up with a 4 wheel drive dump truck, ready to work, put in
a couple of culverts in the places people usually get their cars stuck. A
couple from Lexington are camping out. The party is starting to come
together. Come early and get a good spot to camp out, and DONT FORGET TO
BRING BEER!
5/29/02 Back in Dayton right now, more work done on the fullpipe. Little Eddie and Ed Peck showed up, better hurry up, frog
gigging has already begun! Little Eddie can cook up some mean frog legs,
Merk had the unpleasant task of stabbing the frogs in the head atleast 40 times
to kill the frogs. He was concerned about the pain they would endure when
Little Eddie did the leg removal maneuver. Everett Rosecrans showed
and some Vision riders showed up with Benji to skate and check out the
madness. Everett was happy to pitch in a hand in getting some fullpipe
work done. Brewce informed the street hardened Vision crew that they would
not leave until one of them frontside grinds the deepend (you may or may not
have gone through this), it was Wolnei that hit the grinder for the team.
Please do not mention or ask Merk if
he's been to Louisville yet. He's been at the farm for 2 weeks and all
he's heard about is how great Louisville is.
Other things to bring and not to bring to the party::::::::::::::Bring beer, don't bring guns, bring your hottie sister, don't bring a blade board, bring pool coping, don't bring your mom unless she's hot, bring your car that's on it's last leg, don't bring glass bottle's, bring trash bags, bring a motorcycle, bring a truck load of skatelite, bring potatoes for launching, bring some damn toilet paper, bring blue tile, bring more beer cause your gonna run out, bring a lot of charcoal for the grill, bring a grill too, maybe bring a backhoe and a cement truck, we got the rebar, oh yeah bring a high tolerance for pain
Mad progress getting ready for the party. If your coming early bring your tools along with your Beer. The first band will be playing on Thursday the 6th so get here, find a camp ground area. Tuesday Gravel for the driveway and new drainage system designed by the TVA, is being layed down. Grass is being mowed, lumber being dropped off, skatelite being towed back from the Taurus' last hurrah in Virginia, Skatelite is being applied to the fullpipe by Merk and Trucky, Metal is being put on the butt cheaks of the King Dong by Ed. Benji is putting skatelite in the oververt corners. Devin's working in the shade building the new deck for the barn. Others are involved in various nefarious Skateboard Jihad activities.
|
|
| Thank you to everybody that made getting skatelite be it through contribution of money, time, or whatever makes it possible. We currently have a mission to retrieve the skatelite that's in the conked out Taurus that's stuck in Virginia, but we will make it through. |
|
|
| Ed's handywork with the metal, and Benji's craftsmanship with the skatelite |
|
|
| Brandon has officially excused himself from the Sausage Fest activities, sausage is for eating not for sword fighting |
WARNING::::::No guns::::::Before you pull up the hill to Skatopia ask yourself, have I purchased beer yet, if the answer is no, then go buy beer and ice. Sorry, leave your guns at home!!!
|
|
| Send this freak some email. Shoveled the driveway to skate my 4' wide skatepark in Bowie MD. Check out the cool hockey jersey and the cooper "super protective" helmet hanging off of the ramp. Yeah, I used to be cool. |
6/5/02 First casualty of the fullpipe, our first camper, Merk, reportedly fell
off of the scaffold while hanging skatelite for you guys and girls. Make
sure to thank him for his Blood, Sweat, and Beers. I'm off to the farm
after some crazy mission to Columbus to retrieve skaters from the airport.
6/4/02 Charlotte mission back on, the Taurus is definetely done, Grant let loose
of the keys to his pickup for the cause. When I left the farm today it was
just starting to rain, we had 1/3 of the fullpipe in skatelite. Legal
defense fund for Devin is being setup, please pitch in for this wrongly accused innocent.
6/3/02 Truckee showed up to help and skate and we should all thank him.
Skatelite mission to Cleveland is a success. Skatlite mission to Charlotte turns
up snake eye's, well delayed and one derby car dead before the party. The
Mountain hills took their toll on the Taurus. rip...The fullpipe has 2 layers of
1/2" pt plywood and is about to be cleaned off to be skated and tightened
up.
6/2/02 The weekend has come and gone. People from Massachusetts, Virginia,
West Virginia, New york, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Ohio showed up to work,
sorry if I missed any states. The fullpipe is ready for its final
surface. A mission to Charlotte to pick up a batch of the riding skatelite
has begun around 8PM Sunday, that will be used on the corners of the King
Dong. A Taurus Station wagon left to pick up 18 sheets, it is running its
last mission and will be decommissioned sometime during the party. The
"Skateboard Jihad" has begun! The Fullpipe has been skated by 4
people, Merk, Josh, Devin, and Dan got to skate on 2 layers of plywood.
Trust me on this, It's Sick!
6/13/02 Alright, made arrangements for my car, gonna get a
rental and I'll be unstuck. Merk, Phil, Dan, Brewce, and some others spent
time cleaning the farm yesterday and picked up alot of trash. A good
portion was taken care of by the campers (camp Cleveland burning all their
camping gear got them out quickly). The ten Jihad derby cars in the rally
field have been removed by Crushers for Christ. I even took my tent down
last night.
6/11/02 Yes my friends, the start of the Skatopia Jihad was a
huge success. Merk is still camping out, probably will leave
tomorrow. Truckee is camping out up the road in his trailer. Many
Radical Fundamentalist Skateboarders showed and freaked on the fullpipe, many
who attended were skating their first fullpipe (so it don't have a round
roof). Many bands played, can't say that I saw all of them but I heard
them loud and clear. The Jihad has been rough on me, I myself have waited
for the end of the party to run my car into a ditch and crack the radiator, thus
I'm stuck. My heels are rubbed raw and I was walking barefoot on
rocks. I wandered around the driveway looking for anything that would fit
on my feet, ending up with flipflops that didn't match. We skated the
fullpipe today, I had to barefoot it, but I was fine with that cause I love the
fullpipe.

Bus loads of Radical Fundamentalist Skateboarders showed up to make sure
our demands are met. Just look what happens when our demands are not
met.
Ben from Va., testing out the fullpipe situation for the first time.

What the hell can I say about this
bunch. Remy getting his Jihad in full force!
![]() |
Rune was also getting in on the Jihad. Rune is new to the Jihad format, being from Denmark, but he was putting his best foot into it. Here he is kicking out the window of Volcom1, the Jihad special. |
![]() |
Dave Reul, talking up the Jihad like he was going to the beach. I'm very sure that he's been on a few Jihad's in the past. The Skatanic Rednecks raged the party. |
Here is our list of demands, they have been reviewed by the interested party's and have been found to be more than unreasonable. If your not with us then I guess your against us. We thrive on the unreasonable!
![]() |
Yes we do encourage the ladies to join the Jihad. Here we see the highest girl to guy ratio that's been known to Jihad. We encourage our ladies to not cover themselves up with scarves and what not. We wouldn't complain if they were naked. Go Jihad! |
So wholly shit, I just got back from Michigan, well maybe a day ago, but it was the opening of the Vans park in Novi (just outside of Detroit), the pool that RCMC built is great. Has pool coping, white and yellow tiles, and a genuine simulated death box made out of tile, since the real things couldn't be done, this is a nice alternative. Also went to Lansing or East Lansing MI, checked out a new Team Pain park (concrete is done but park not opened yet), fun stuff, a tear drop shaped pool (some would call it an egg), it was fun and scary at the same time (pool coping would have set this off, thumbs down on the city's decision against pool coping, thumbs up on the concrete), it's a carving machine, it also has a banked cruiseland street area that's fun. Also got to skate an apartment pool, a Roman with some carveable shallow end pockets, got more video of that then the other places, it was truly fun.

Been in Cleveland since Tuesday working with Phil, Truckee, Hughes, and Merk, building flatwall banks and a vert ramp for the Gravity Games. Kool, all this time spent in one place and I'll have time to review video that I've been taping.
Check out the Late 70's DC area Parks link for a couple pictures of my local park when I was a Kid. They give you an idea of what kind of stuff they find in necessary to destroy. (Bastards)
Johnny Cash Rules! "We'll those people keep a movin' and that's what tortures me"
Well I'm back in Cleveland after another typically crazy weekend in Louisville. I'm telling you, if you haven't been there you just have no idea. I can't even try to explain it. Ask somebody that's been there, they will probably say the same thing. This place is off the hook, I don't mean off the hook like off the hook, I'm talking really fucking off the hook.Example: Brewce has an altercation with the "Adrenaline Zone" non-skater vendor thats opening a skateboard, bmx, rollerblade shop. The police kick Brewce out of the park for 2 days. Police chase Brewce. Police harass our friend Andy (Fish). Brewce calls police chief and mayor's office the next day. Brewce, Salba, Skinner, and others go to the Mayor's office and rap with him for a couple of hours, and they get the key to the city.
Well I made it back to Michigan and hit the same spots that I had 2 weeks earlier. Vans in Novi (outside of Detroit), the grand opening of a Team Pain park in Lansing, and skated the apartment pool again. A lot of driving on the rental car, still waiting on my after party damaged car to get fixed. This is where full coverage pays off.

Ah, I've withheld all kinds of crazyness.
Merk was maced last night out side of the Residence Inn that we are
staying at. Truckee quit to move to Vermont, Phil moved his dogs
into the place, luckily we all now have our own rooms. We skated a
couple of concrete parks in Akron, all small, kind of funky parks but each
had something fun or odd to skate.
Going to go to Skatopia in a little while, get a little fullpipe action in. We actually did skate a fullpipe last week in Novi MI, it was a 9' pipe, maybe . While it was small and I cracked my head, I did see Truckee do a frontside air off of the oververt and his friend Ben get gnarly in it. Whatever, off for more Jihad!
![]() |
Well at Skatopia, if it's not one thing it's another. This was actually open house weekend when Brewce had gone to Marseilles France. No big deal. Now a few nights later he was driven home by the police and we were hanging out by a fire by the barn and the cops came speeding up with Brewce getting out of the back seat. Cops seem to be attracted to Brewce. |
Talked to Truckee, he's in Attleboro Massachusetts sheeting a new bowl with Big Tim. He says it's sick. Austin TX is opening a new park built by Jason Speer, with Brad Baxter finishing the project. It will be opening July 27th I believe, I'll try to get some sick pictures from Jason.

Gravity Games Skateboarder/Carpenters Mugged
Cleveland count: So far 3 of the team have been robbed, well, 2 were, the
other one was not a success for the mugger. Chris Mearkle would not have
any of that business, he was Maced and decided the best thing to do would be
break the glass to the hotel he was staying at. This actually happened a
couple of weeks ago, the other muggers scored point though. One got about
$700, the other about $400. If your in downtown Cleveland at night,
do not bring to much money with you and if somebody asks you if you know Phil,
just say NO.

holly shit, that's serious

Switzerland, thanks Buddy for sending this picture, did
you take this picture?
| Jason Speer has built a bowl in Austin TX, the Skatepark of Austin is gonna be really fun, it has a killer wooden bowl that's like 84 feet long at it's longest, with big hips. If you like good music and skating bowls, head to Austin. Should have more up to date pictures sometime soon. This should be done by now, so I'm waiting for newer pictures. | ![]() |
I'm on vacation and I have yet to skate. Spent the night at Skatopia Friday night, it rained in the morning when I was gonna take a few runs in the fullpipe, should have taken some runs when I got there. Worked on a really nice bowl by the beach, it's almost done, but yet again no skateboarding. I went by the Summersville Dam to see what it looks like now, it looks like it will be difficult to skate without wire cutters or talking somebody into opening the gate. I had a nice drive to the Dam though, nice scenery like waterfalls and stuff.
General Observation or something: It's hot and humid in North Carolina right now. It rained for a week or 2 prior to my arrival and I am greeted by mosquitoes.
|
|
| Mayberry, I'll be there soon, oh yeah, it's much more done now. Yup that's right, their gonna have to wait till I pass out to load me in a truck to get me out of there town. More misinformation coming soon. |
Nebraska, full of fullpipes? That's what I'm being told, all of these pipes that I'm getting pictures of are in Nebraska. Who would have thought? And I've been making all of those trips to Kansas to locate the mythical Kansas prairie pipes. If you get any pictures of the Kansas pipes, well, you know what I want, the evidence...
Bowl contests are where it's at!
Alright, here's a contest I'd like to check out, the Dream
Parks 02 Tour, will be held first at the Denver Skatepark on the weekend of
August 10th. You don't have to take my word for it, just click on the link
for more information and a killer picture of the park. The second contest
is to be held at everybody's favorite park with a fullpipe, the Louisville
skatepark, though this one is tentative.
I'm feeling at home, it's 12:00 and I still haven't left the house I'm staying in, that's the kind of shit I pull in Dayton. I'm starting to become part of the Outer Banks. I think I'll borrow Dirty's longboard and try to surf then, up the road to Wanchese to catch the consistent 9 to 12 foot swell. So far the only rule I've heard is that it's a $1 a ride until you roll in.

Everybody seems to have their special way of drinking beer. Big Tim is showing the New England beer straining technique, that is done while drinking it, so that you can save time. 5.9 has all of the beer drinking technique's. |
| Be afraid, be very afraid! Yes, you've seen it here first, maybe it will roll through your town. Brewce done gone out and bought him one of them there Lincoln Town Car Stretch Limos. Word has it that it was originally owned by the Denver Bronco's so we know it's held some weight before. The front license plate holder says Sea Pines, which is in Hilton Head SC, and the cards in the drivers arm rest are from strip clubs in West Virginia. It's like the car's been on a journey to prepare itself for Brewce. |
![]() |
![]() |
| Wanchese Jihad, They have their demands too............Definitely one of the funnest things I've skated. Yeah thats over vert in the corner, it has a death box. |
Time to implement the prime objective............Brewce is getting on the original path, he's gearing up for total and as of yet un-fathomable retardation. Brace yourself to witness what will befall you in the months to come, it will sound like rumors, you will not believe without seeing, some of it I will not even show pictures of just to keep you guessing. So to alleviate the shock that will befall you come the party in October, you may want to come to the farm and help us take skateboarding to new levels of un-imagined retardation. Maybe Brewce will drive you around the farm in his Limo.
Where I've been the last 2 days
Back to it, they can't seem to keep me away from Skatopia and now North
Carolina. Had to take care of some friends that went to Greenville to
build a ramp for Dave Mirra. They were not able to have a safety meeting
without me, so thus the detour on the way to the beach. Ah, Wanchese,
spent Sunday afternoon helping these guys finish their 2 year project.
They were putting on the blue tiles and finishing the brick coping on the
oververt pocket.
Back from my "vacation" in North Carolina and did my usual stop through Skatopia to add 400 screws to the fullpipe and belt sand the skatelite to skatelite pro seems. It's getting faster.
Well I'm on my way with Brewce to Virginia Beach for the Soul Bowl Contest.........As I've said before, I like West Virginia. I think I once heard that if you flattened out West Virginia would be as big as texas, or something like that. Brewce bought a 80 something 4wd Toyota Van, smell like burning plastic from the pastic bag on the muffler, though it seems to run fine. He brought a box of cd's that are all scratched up so what he's doing is licking and cleaning them off on his pants, if it plays and it's a good cd we keep it, if it's fucked he determines if further tests are necessary, if not they are road frisbee's.There’s more, yeah, more, media whore more.
Virginia Beach, where was BB, AA CC DD EE were there?
BB was not there, but "double A" Aaron Astorga, "double C"
Chris Cook, "double D" Dave Duncan and "double E" Eddie
Elguera were. So the Soul Bowl had good weather, except for this gnarly lightning that
occurred after the best trick contest. There gonad use the Soul Bowl again for the Vans Ocean
Side thing, I vote they skatelite it and put pool coping on in for the Ocean
Side Vans finals. My video camera bit the dust at while taping some
practice runs, gonna be without it for a couple of weeks. It seems to be a
small Alva reunion with Murf, Dave "the voice of skateboarding"
Duncan, and Cooksie all skating in the Grand Masters (36+), all three showed
what the Alva boyz are all about. Jimmy "The Mouth of The South"
Leaphart, that cats got mad style, used to be a radio Reggae DJ, he was
representing the Carolina's like a true southern gentleman. The Master of
Disaster was in full force for the extension roll in, I completely understand
the moniker of "Master of Disaster" now that I've seen him do some
skating. Brewce, "The Freak of Nature" was bent of making
the hip hop of the hip to revert, which as I undestand it, he made, while I was
off getting the videos from the van that everybody should be buying so ya'll
can come skate some concrete at Skatopia. Pat "East Coast"
Clark, Cedar Crest DC area punk drummer loaner of pictures of my childhood local
parks skated well with his arsenal of invert variations, several balanced runs
in which he mixed it up around the bowl. Shit, they was all going off, my
helmet is off to all these guys and everybody else I didn't mention, I'm saying
Kick Fucking Ass you skate hookers, ya'll rip! Oh yeah, Sean Goff from
England showed some crazy lines, hang up type crazy smooth stuff. I don't
know what else to call it. Well, I got more to say but hell, you should
have been there! Oh yeah, I missed the young guns because I had to skate
the new bowl in the Outer Banks, while I was doing that, Benji Galloway won the
young guns, well that's cool now aint it.

| Come play, skate, camp, work, donate, some combination of the above. Definitely come here to enjoy yourself. Skatopia, serving the globe. | The CIA mobile production facility. Possible future site of Dan's luxury ghetto farm trailer. |
I ended up going to Louisville for Labor Day
Louisville, after a 2 month absence, it hasn't changed, it's just as weird as
ever! Jeff Grosso showed up and skated. Last night another BMX dude took the sad ride into the "pit of doom" to the
head, the EMS workers came and were walking slowly like there were on an afternoon stroll so
most of the people in the park were yelling to hurry them up while one
skateboarder was more vocal about speeding up their slow walking, so that the
BMX dude might have a chance at living, well a cop told a skateboarder to leave
the park and he wasn't fully compliant and struggled to get free from my
understanding, so he was beat down a maglight causing the skateboarder to go into convulsions. A near riot ensued and the park was closed down, at least until the Brute squad of the Louisville police department were off duty. I'm looking for
some video because I know 3 people were video taping the what went on, one of
which lives in East Lansing MI.. The officer may be the same one that had threatened
to maglight beat down
my friend Andy 2 months earlier. Louisville listen up, time for your cops to get friendly to the skatepark because it represents tourism and your actions represent the town and people of Louisville, plus I'm sure Louisville will make the national news someday for beating down a skateboarder or BMXer while one of our boys lay in the
"pit of doom" dying,.
Today (Monday) the news crews all showed up to tape something regarding the
night before, though nothing was reported about the RoboCop beating down the
Skateboarder, just the objective view of the police spokesperson that, hey,
wasn't even their and goes by what the officers say. Note to everybody, do what these cops say, they don't
like the park and seem to have a short fuse. Watch out
for the really tall cop lady, she likes to use pepper spray on dudes that were
beat down with a maglight. I don't know, maybe some of ya'll
like that kind of stuff.

Meigs County to get new Radical Extremo Skatepark
Meigs county is getting a public skate park in Middleport, the fund
drive is being headed by
President of the committee for the "Skatepark of Meigs", Brewce Martin. It will
be located in Middleport OH,
at the local pool. Checks can be sent to the Farmers Bank in Middleport to
the account of
"Skatepark of Meigs". Let me tell you something about Meigs
County Ohio, I've heard it's the biggest
county in Ohio, and usually it is the poorest. All funding is coming from
local businesses, skaters,
whoever will pitch in. Seems the X-games really got people excited around
here. The park will be
sick for sure since Brewce is involved and all labor is people pitching
in. Check it out, if your within
100 miles of this, you might want to write a check to "Skatepark of Meigs"
account at the Farmers
Bank in Middleport Ohio.

Brewce, Tim Clark, and I went to the Volcom Warehouse today, Brewce had
business so he introduced me to Omar Hassan and suggested that I skate with him,
what am I gonna do, say no? I can't wait to see what kind of Jihad
Techniques he will employ at Skatopia. He was trying a new trick, he was
possessed. Remy Stratton came and started turning off the lights after he had
skated for a while. We could have shot him with a Potato gun, but the time running out lights warning along with some idiot heckling Omar was just the
juice he needed to land the first front side double kickflip. At least I
understand that I witnessed the first ever. I'm sure that most of the
people that read this site know Omar as the best all around skater there is.

Chin go bangggggggggg on bottom of Jen's steel 12'
fullpipe, number of stiches = 0, number I probably should have had, I
don't know!

Cool cool cool, can't wait for spring. Check this out, my friend
"PBR" has been lobbying his town of Athens Ohio for sometime to get a
skatepark and now it looks like his Dream is Coming to fruition, check this mind
blowing shit out, Athens Ohio, 20 minutes from Skatopia is getting a Grindline
skatepark.
More Travels and stuff skated........Went and skated the Strawberry Lodge. That Northern California crew have a great scene, had loads of fun skating the party. We stopped by the next evening as we were driving out of Lake Tahoe for one last session, luckily for us there were others skating, not only were they skating, they were cooking out. These guys hooked us up with quesa dia's. Soreness has taken over and I'm currently looking for a Hot Tub in Huntington Beach.
Louisville News Flash. Better bring your brain bucket protector (Helmet) to the Extreme Park, thanks Joe for sending me this information. Helmet rule, not a bad rule! Though they still have not addressed the safety issue of the "Pit of Doom" so I will put the link to the email address up again and invite you all to email nrodriguez@courier-journal.com concerning the issue that they have been ignoring. Grindline Skateparks, are they the best?
Who is building the best? Some would say Louisville has the best
concrete, some would say the Oregon parks are better, I haven't been to Oregon,
though I've seen pictures, and their doing the majority of concrete oververt.
I'd like to see what could be done at Skatopia
by the best skatepark builders in the world. I'm gonna start to profile
some Skatepark builders I think I'll look into Grindline because I've skated
some RCMC and some Team Pain and a couple Wally Hollydays but have yet to skate
a Grindline. Were looking for a few good men and women to come help deliver the Skatopian concrete dream. I don't know that any one skatepark
can be "the best" but I'll tell you there sure a lot of "the
worst" parks, that is the Evil that lurks in Skateboarding, what else is
there to be pissed off about when your skateboarding?
Sausage Fest Fall 02 has begun. People from Maryland were the first here last night, Jeff from NagChaumpa and his girlfriend. A couple hours later, Benji and Grant Showed up, Benji from Baltimore and Grant from Delaware, also Ben from Parkersburg, Good weather, a few clouds but it's warming up. If your close by, get closer. Others have trickled in undetected during the night, I saw a 4wd something pulling one of those shiny crome looking camper shells, flew right by my trailer. The midsized ramp and hip will be done today, come out and skate tonight!

Beaz Photo of Beaz burning down Charleston
Grants, FDR, White Plains, Vans, Wanchese, Wilmington,
Hampstead, Charleston. And now I'm back! Grants, the
craziest garage I've ever skated really cool bowl. FDR, craziest place
I've skated under a bridge, I especially liked the bowl with the pool
block. White Plains, just south of Waldorf MD, a new Wally Holladay park,
fun bowl, it has 6 hips with pockets and stuff. Vans, one word, slick, do
yourself a favor and tell the workers to mop it (the bowl) before you skate
it. Be very insistent, they'll do it! If you want to carve a lot,
skate the kidney. Wanchese, I could write a book about Wanchese.
Drove down in the rain, It could be 80% chance of rain in Wanchese and I'd still
drive 9 hours to get there just in case there's enough time to dry it and skate
it. Which is just what we did, Benji Rob Nelson, Dirty and I got down in
the bowl and bailed 5 inches of water. This wooden bowl is so solid that
after we dried the skatelite, it was still extremely fast, we ended up getting
to skate for about 4 hours. Wilmington, skated another Wally Holladay
park, wasn't as excited about this one as the White Plains one, but just like
all of his parks, it had good lines, I think I'm getting spoiled.
Hampstead, Benji informed me this was the place he took his first skate trip or
something, he tore it up, plenty of street and small bowl activity there.
The bigger of the bowls had pool coping at one end and a hip, the coping was
camel toed more than you can imagine, though not rough, just big dips, it was
fun as shit. Charleston, the final skate destination, people hanging out,
skateboarding, drinking, eating, in general having a great time. The bowl
is awesome, with more than half of the deep end pool coping, 10' tranny with 2'
of vert, a wild ride for sure. Many were tearing it up. Load gave
Brewce Martin the #1 Bad Ass board that was signed by most who attended, Brewce
later dressed up in his Halloween costume, made me vomit.

Yes, we bailed a wooden bowl, then skated for about 4 hours.
We were not stopped by the rain, only delayed.
