After the Skatopia party we got a room at the Meigs Motel, a fine motel, actually the closest motel to Skatopia.  It was nice to wash off the Skatopia that had accumulated over the weekend, I felt like 50 bucks after that.  The next morning we checked out and headed to Athens Ohio and the Grindline park so Benji, Ben, and Caylen could check it out.  I was hoping to see Matt Dyck and see if we could drag him with us to Cornfest, well he did show up but did not go with us on our journey.  Here's some pictures and words.

On the way to the Columbus Airport we made the mandatory stop in Athens Ohio.  Who show up but non-other than Matt Dyck.  Group photo of Ben Butler, Benji, Caylen, Dyck, and Dan.
Ben Butler backside air off of the hip.  We were gonna hit this for a short period of time then haul ass up to Powell to skate then to the airport.  We decided to skip Powell and enjoy Athens a little longer.

So we make it to Columbus and have a successful passenger dropoff.  Being good weather and still light out we decide to hit the Powell park, built by Team Pain with a tight pool, things were looking good.  See ya later Ben and Caylen.  It's the Benji Show at Powell.

Benji, Dave, Mike, Blair, and the Governor.  We stopped in Pittsburgh to visit the crew at 37's for a couple of days, once again good times.  Benji and I helped Mike put a roof on a carport for our friend Lorenz.

Ah, 37's, this, I think, is one of the hardest bowls to ride, though once you get it figured out, it is one of the funnest.  Several types of pool coping steep steep steep shallow, and just plain old fun.		 Sorry, but I do not have any skating pictures of 37's, although, I guess I do if I snag some from the video I took.  Anyway, back to the story.  The actual Suspended License Tour actually began after leaving Columbus.  Before the trip began I finally put on my front license plate, in the back of my mind a little voice was saying, check the lights in the back, like the tail lights brake lights and LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS, well I didn't do that.  Anyway, were heading out of Columbus and into Licking county on Columbus day.  Every fuck'n mile there was a cop, well it was the second cop that pulled us over.  I was making a move to the back of the vehicle with the interior light on when we went by so the cop thought, huh, maybe their hiding something.  He noticed that my license plate light was out (always check them on a regular basis).  Pulled over!  Long story short, don't put weed in the same place as your registration, and always check your lights to make sure there working.  And if your in Ohio, don't get caught with the ganja even if your a passenger because they take your license and your stash, and they throw all of your stuff all over the vehicle searching for weapons and drugs.  I swear I saw the cop sniffing Benji's underwear.  Excellent job Trooper Wilson!
Anyway, I was over the loosing the license deal, it did make for a topic of conversation when we hit each of the stops we had coming up.  But I digress (not sure what it mean's but I know it works for the story), high points of the Pittsburgh stop were Skating 37's, working on a car port, Lorenz taking us to a Vietnamese restaurant (the food ruled, I highly recommend it), and taking another shower.  You really grow to really appreciate showers after being at Skatopia for 4 days of partying.
